How and why did you get into this sport?
I got into the sport of boxing because I lost my love for football.
I had dreams of being a professional footballer, countless trials and scouted matches and even when I felt I did my best I never seemed to have got the break through.
I always said to my dad “I should’ve done boxing “ I thought it was too late and I was too committed to football. Well then I made that walk and never left
What has been your biggest recent battle with training?
Over training and under fuelling (ironic)
This has been a massive thing for me since I found out I was goin to be fighting.
Training to exhaustion everyday twice a day because I thought if I didn’t my opponent would win. There’s a stigma that you have to do that so you don’t “gass out “ or to show you’re “tough” but in reality you are just paying attention to other people’s opinions and not how u or ur body feels
If we were to open your diary from the last week, what would it say?
Last week was a massive success
I’ve gotten into contact with an S&C and nutritionist now the seasons over and what a difference it’s making!
A program is in place which allows me to eat and have rest days guilt free.
Setting new PBs as my body is revolving and receiving the correct nutrition.
overall loving my training.
Time management is something I am working on at the moment and I’ve been balancing my training and work great!
But not every week is like this,
The reason it has been such a success is due to countless f’ups prior to this week but I’ve learnt reviewed and adapted goin into this week.
I don’t know if you normally do this but a message I want to leave to whoever reads this is.
Make a change in you Daily routine this week make it your priority everyday. make it one of your habits. If that’s drinking more water, setting an alarm , going for a walk. Add something to your life that will benefit you
You can do it 👊🏻
