My first love is cycling but I got into running a couple of years ago.

How and why did you get into this sport?

 

When I’m out on my bike in the countryside and the sun is shining I just feel at peace.

What has been your biggest recent battle with training?

I’ve recently started a new job and the recent hot weather has had a massive impact on my energy levels. I’ve had almost a month of red and amber Whoop recovery scores despite getting sufficient sleep.

If we were to open your diary from the last week, what would it say?

I have had 2 recent PBs in the gym in the same week, back squatting 90kg, then deadlift 110kg a few days later.
I’ve also recently completed the Hampshire Hoppit 10k trail run. I underestimated how tough this was going to be and really suffered on the day, and for several days after.
