Dylan

Gym Supervisor at a 6th form college

Current sporting discipline

Long distance running, currently coming back from an injury, but all eyes are on an April marathon PB and the Comrades Ultra Marathon in South Africa next year.

How and why did you get into this sport?

Had been in the fitness industry for a few years and start training some runners who were lacking in the strength department. Watched them run The Comrades Marathon and decided that I wanted to do it the following year. So started training and boom the running bug hit.

What has been your biggest recent battle with training?

Finding the time to train consistently now that my son has started nursery, and having to share a car with my wife. As well as the recent niggles, I've picked up after my 100km trail run.

If we were to open your diary from the last week, what would it say?

It would be the most random thing ever, from training highs to super lows, talking about consistency as well as the lack of motivation or desire to fuel my body the way it should. You'll see mentions of past success as well as regrets from not achieving the things I wanted to this year.
