How and why did you get into this sport?
I started cycling in 2019 to combine travel and exercise.
It escalated quickly.
What began as weekend rides turned into structured training, long races, and chasing watts.
Now it’s part of who I am.
What has been your biggest recent battle with training?
I’m cutting back training volume during the week, not because I’m lazy, but because I want to stay balanced.
If we were to open your diary from the last week, what would it say?
Competing after a stressful week always affects my performance.
It’s not just the legs, it’s the nervous system, the recovery, the mindset.
Tapering only works if I actually allow space to rest, mentally and physically.
I need to get better at protecting that space. That’s when the adaptations settle in.
That’s when I show up ready.
